He was committed to LSU at 14 and decomitted when Mainieri retired. It would be a huge miss to not land him, imo.

His dad’s from Patterson. I think he’s coming.

Leaving to Texas is an unknown as much as going to LSU is. Automatic starter all American either way, just depends where he wants to be living wise once he visits both. BR might be better trying to prepare for the next major step
Of his career as opposed to Austin but who knows.

LSU has a little hometown cooking on top of a former commitment. Hopefully he comes to the P&G

Would be a nice get and I’d love to hear Blair call one of his homeruns. Also, Grahovac would be a get as well.

I could be wrong but don’t think I am. If Laviolette was happy with Schlos leaving the day after the CWS and prepared to follow him to UT, I think he would have been a bit more subtle and waited to jump in the portal. Moving as quickly as he did seems to be to be a F Schlos move.

Maybe I’m way off but I think schloss’s move is going to work very much in LSU’s favor. I don’t think any of these guys are dying to jump ship to THE arch rival after his back door antics and betraying them.

Could be way off but would be pretty shocked if few, if any of these guys go to UT

Several of those are going to Texas. He's probably being heavily courted by Texas as well. There's rumors he had issues with his HC so him going to LSU and not following him to Texas make sense.

Short term yes. If TX gets serious about baseball again they are going to be a problem.

I don’t think you’re giving Texas its due here…..Texas has ALWAYS been a problem in CBB…That’s nothing new. Besides LSU and Arkansas, Texas is the model of consistency in modern day college baseball.

A&M competing at a high level is definitely new. As in the last 3 years new.

There’s basically 2 premier jobs and programs in college baseball in modern day… Texas and LSU. There’s a slew of 5-8 programs behind that, but alway behind the 2 big boys. Any college baseball coach in private would admit those are the 2 dream jobs.

So I don’t agree with some notion of “texas getting serious about baseball” when they’re the only other baseball power outside Baton Rouge.

LSU vs Texas 2009 was battle of the baseball powerhouses and kings, which is why it was so much fun.
