One of the single largest cuts Landry made was for $1 million to Catholic Charities of Acadiana for its emergency homeless shelter operations in Lafayette. The facilities serve the surrounding eight parishes, and the funding would have been provided for the fiscal year that starts July 1.

Landry, who is Catholic and lives in Lafayette Parish, did not explain why he removed the funding.

Catholic Charities has funding and supporting the invasion for decades. They were one of the first backers of sanctuary cities.

They are not a charity. They are human trafficker's and are destroying America. No public funds should go to them, period.

Catholic charities is terrible and the reason I no longer give money to the church when it does not go directly towards something in my parish. If you didn’t know, catholic charities is huge in the illegal migrant problem. The government turns the migrants over to them and they are the ones moving them into shelters and sending them across the country.

So Huey P Landry cut funding for 21 out of over 600 earmarks

Congrats!

Why didn’t he cut the rest??

How many of the rest are tied to trial attorneys?
