To all the men and women who bleed Purple and Gold that are downrange and in harm’s way at this time of year serving in our armed forces and protecting the freedom of the rest of us who casually type out pithy missives for consumption on TD from the comfort of our living rooms and offices – THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THE SACRIFICES THAT YOU MAKE NOT ONLY EVERY DAY - BUT ESPECIALLY ON THIS DAY – IN THE SERVICE OF OUR GREAT NATION!

If you’re a deployed Tiger, please sign in and let us know where y’at…how long you’ve been there…how long you’ve got left…and who you’ve got back home. I think I speak for a bunch of folks when I say we all want to hear from you, hear how you're doing and let you know how much we care.

I’m a proud member of the armed forces but I’ve never had to spend the holidays away from my family. We all owe each and every one of you a tremendous debt of gratitude. God bless you all!

And...

Hell yeah.

A special Salute to all of you who have ever been under enemy fire . . . YOU SUFFERED SO THAT WE COULD LIVE FREE.

We will never be able to pay back to you everything that we owe.

AMEN TO THAT! Couldn't have said it better.
I know what it's like to be in a strange land, away from family, during the holidays. God Bless all who serve!

I grew up an Air Force brat and served enlisted in the Marine Corps.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless and stay safe.

Nothing like getting up at 4:30 am Sunday morning to see great games like LSU/UGA, LSU/Bama, LSU/ Ole Miss/ LSU/Arkansas this year.

Really.

My nephew is a sniper with a special forces unit stationed outside of Sumaria. Still has 6 months left on tour. He is a "HOG" fan, but we love and respect him. Please lift him up, as with the others that are serving our country.

This is one of the better threads I have ever seen on the Rant.

I am also thinking of our purple and gold brothers and sisters defending our freedom. I wish you all the best and also a Merry Christmas!
