De Santis is a great Governor, he would be a tremendous Senator next and then a great President in the future.

Enjoy it while you can. He won't ever be President but hopefully he pops up in Congress again.

Yes but a Democrat would have to win in 2026 for that to happen and I don't see that happening no matter how bad the next Republican candidate is.

It would require that person to not run again in 4 years (obviously he could run again after 8)

Probably but he could likely primary them pretty easily unless they’re just as capable.

He wouldn't do that most likely.

The most likely thing is he sits out a little while, runs for Pres again 2028, doesn't get it, sits out and waits for a Senate or House seat to be vulnerable and runs for that one.
