WWL radio today announced they are extending their flagship agreement with the Saints and taking over the Pelicans flagship.

While they are not the LSU flagship, they certainly broadcast a lot of the games, coaches shows, etc.

Will we see less coverage of LSU? More games and shoes moved to smaller sister stations like the BET station?

They will just move the Pelicans to one of their other stations when they conflict, I imagine.

LSU will get far more listeners. I'm sure they have already figured this out.

WWL has 105.3 and 92.9 FM to carry multiple shows or networks at a time.

They're obligated to play all SEC and postseason games. LSU has a larger audience so I wouldn't be worried about the Pelicans taking their network time

Doesn’t WWL own 1350 AM also? Some of the baseball games are on that station.

They have sister stations. These even broadcast some of the recent LSU baseball tournament games when the times conflicted with some of the blabbermouth shows on 870. I am sure that LSU football will take precedence on fall Saturdays.

People listen to it online now anyway. Hardly no one listens to the radio during games except truck drivers

WWL also has 101.9

As far as I know it is that Tulane guy that does Pels radio. Todd Graff.

On that note The Pels need a better TV deal. Ballys hardly ever works for $19.99 a month.

Ballys is basically dead

I would expect to hear something about that in the near future

The reason it is on the Rant is because people are afraid that the Pels are going to preempt LSU. Don’t worry. That is not going to happen.

ETA
That is for sure for LSU football. Friday night or Sunday afternoon baseball?
That is another question.
