Started a thread a couple months ago about this but didn’t get much input. Having a tibial osteotomy later this month. Long story short, cartilage injury with meniscus tear with open OATS procedure to right knee last February and scoped to clean up in November. Looking at almost complete collapse of medial compartment of knee and too young for a replacement. Just curious if anyone has had or done the procedure and their experience with it. I’ve seen 2 different docs and they both recommended osteotomy to try and prolong the life of the joint. Getting a bit nervous as this is a big procedure. Patient forums are all over the place. In the OT I trust. Thanks for any feedback.

I don't have any advice, but wish you the best in recovery.
I had OATS 3 years go and also need to clean up my meniscus, but have been putting it off.
