Gross lineup IMO but I’m a Jay Johnson fan so ima roll with it, I just wanna know the thought process behind White at leadoff.

Okay but leadoff usually are known for guys who are threats on base, also work counts and are comfortable taking pitches. Not something Tommy White is normally

LSU doesn’t run, so who cares if the lead off is a threat on the bases.
It’s about getting your best hitters the most possible ABs. It’s also about protection. Pitch around White, you’re dealing with Milam with a runner on. Pitch around Milam you’re dealing with Jones.
This isn’t rocket science.
