Wanting to win a Championship vs being attached to players.. Pelicans and Saints.

Why do the majority of fans on social media tend to fall in love for the players and not wanting to trade to make the team better? Is this just a situation that the New Orleans-Gulfcoast is just a small market and Miss Benson organizations try to be a close family type atmosphere?
Facebook fans would rather keep and start Jose, BI, Dyson and finish 8th in the conference...than try to trade for better player to aim for a championship

No one on this site thinks Dyson and Jose should be starters.
Dyson is one of the best on ball defenders in the league on a rookie deal and jose is good player on an even better contract. Are they assets we can use to gain a better player? Sure, but let's not act like keeping them is a bad idea

To be fair I don’t think he said it was a bad idea to keep them- he was referring that its better to trade them to be a better team than to keep them and be a lesser team. He could have said it in a better way but thats what it seems like he was implying which honestly should be the mentality for this team to be its best version.

I think it's fans in general.
I have seen fans on social media, message boards, etc. talk about how this player or that player is more valuable and they can't trade them. This organization values continuity, comradery and a family like atmosphere over everything. I don't necessarily agree with it but they do. Look at them retaining Willie.
If they were truly committed to winning you do whatever it takes and bring in a coach you know with experience that help you win.

That family atmosphere needs to change. We need some dogs on this roster

Probably because we have no idea what it takes to build a championship team. When you see a bonafide superstar, you do everything in your power to add pieces that will take you over the hump while moving young pieces with value and potential to upgrade talent who can help you win now.
The NBA widow is really small. So you're either all in or not. You can't play it both ways. That's why we're in this mess in the first place trying to do both in the last 5 years. Griff though he could build a GSW style of squad but they are such an anomaly that just doesn't happen very often. That bet failed.

frick the players. Trade every single one of it wins a title. They’re not our friends nor will they ever be.

Winning solves most problems.

Many times there are posters with an itchy trigger finger who can’t wait to trade a player with any imperfection.
If a player has decent talent and is committed, hustles and is team oriented, I’m not so eager to move him for a shiny new object unless there is a very clear need.

This is not a guaranteed. Keep the players until you have a definite idea if it will work out or if it won’t.
