BVI resorts with young kids

I’ve sailed the BVI’s four times, but this will be the first trip with kids, ages 5 and 3. Looking for recommendations of places to stay since I don’t feel comfortable bringing them on a catamaran yet. Open to any of the islands but was thinking Jost, Tortola, or Virgin Gorda

This is going to come off like a turd but, I hope your kids are in the top 1% of manners and behavior. Most people paying to go to a BVI resort are not there to enjoy your 3 and 5 year old.

It definitely came off that way. I have traveled with my kids to Europe, Bahamas, and Hawaii and never had an issue. I have personally been to the BVI’s several times and know the area. That is why I’m asking for recommendations that are kid friendly.
I am not scared to travel with my kids and I feel bad for people that do.

I’m sure you have traveled a lot with your little kids and I’m sure the other people around were thrilled they could enjoy your small kids on their vacations.

Jost has no resorts and having been to the BVI several times this surprises me that you don’t know this.
Virgin Gorda has Bitter End. I’ve stayed on Peter Island but I’m not sure it works for kids so young. Honestly with kids that young I’d go to Beaches on Providenciales. The resorts the BVI has tend to be very high end.

Go to scrub island. Was until last year a Marriott property, very kid friendly. Was there last summer with my kids, 10 and 8. It’s a great property.

What's interesting is in all my travels before and after being a parent I can't remember one kid that bothered me enough that I remember it to this day, but I can remember a few adults that were complete douchebags.

Like VABuckeye said, the BVI’s aren’t the destination to bring a 3 and 5 yr old to. It’s interesting to me that OP has traveled there on charters before and then recounts his travel history with little kids and is pretty oblivious to that fact. I could have conveyed my point better, but I wouldn’t want to deal with OP’s group in the BVI’s.

I’ve only stayed at a very nice resort one time and it is not a kid friendly place and not on an island he mentioned. IMO he’s being polite by asking where the more kid friendly places would be.
He also said “places to stay” which includes vacation rentals. I don’t know much about those since we are there to sail when we visit.
I have seen many kids vacationing in the BVIs though, but generally on boats. Never really paid attention to it when we were making stops at resorts. We had our 6 and 3 year old niece and nephew on the cat with us and it went really well. We ate at nice restaurants in resorts with them. They didn’t bother anyone and did great on the boat. We also hung out on the beach with them by a couple of different resorts.
Definitely ran into more rude drunk adults than anything but I try not to let anyone else ruin my good time. I’m there for the wind and painkillers.
