Talked to some young bucks who roll with the baseball players and they said reason Jared Mitchell didn't get the ball thrown much was to protect his 1st round status.........some say as high as top 10 pick this year......

Is it really out the realm of possibilty?

I mean because some draft experts think he may go top 10?

How many 6 foot 4.4 Outfielders are there?

ETA: Jared is 5'11 or 6 foot with cleats!!!

I'm no baseball guru but he did make some exceptional plays last year down the stretch.

I wouldn't doubt he's pretty much mailing his football career in right now just to keep his full schollie, but I doubt our coaches kept him out of games to do Paul or him a favor for baseball.

Didn't see him much on special teams, and he definetly showed good moves after the catch but didn't get much thrown his way........Guess the qbs had something to do with his production but this info came from practice squad players and some youngins that run with the players....

I'll make sure to keep my idiotic comments to myself sorry for being so foolish on the rant.

He's a phenomenal athlete, but a top 10 pick overall in the baseball draft he is not.

Unless he hits like .450 this year with 15HRs and steals like 30 bases.

Id say it would be a possibility then. But based on the last 2 years, i dont think he is that good.

I know he didn't hit the ball that well but this is a projection.......I'm assuming some gurus think he may turn it up with the bat.

So you are saying he will be a top 10 pick?

The guru's that you speak of know very little compared to the guru's on this board.

even if he did, no team is going to draft a corner outfielder with a top ten pick unless he has 30+ homerun potential
