On the "2024 Regionals" Tab.

Includes things like OPS, Homers per game, Hit by pitch, stolen bases per game, K%, BB %, Babip, wOBA, wRAA, wRC+,ERA, Siera, xFIP, etc. Please review at your own leisure.

Green is good and red is bad.

There’s 300+ teams in the NCAA. I think the 2024 tab is each teams rank in that category.

In other words, it makes sense in the OPS category that UGA ranks 2nd and LSU ranks 53rd.

Pitching shows as 13, hasn’t pitching depth been a big issue? Genuine question, haven’t been able to watch much this year.

sunday starter, sure. But you can probably name on one hand the # of teams that have a viable #3

Pitching has been pretty lights out since about the Tennessee series, save for a couple of blow up innings.

Sorry, had some of those columns hidden for my own benefit, they are back open now. As a whole, depth has been an issue, but some of the advanced metrics show lsu had been a bit unlucky from the pitching side of things. We have the 5th best siera rating in the country.

Game 1 and game 2 pitching and midweek pitching has been great. Its just been poor in game 3s

Does this mean we're going to win or not? Does it mean we have to pitch Jump against Wofford?

I think throwing Jump or Holman game 1 would smart. I could make an argument to start either one honestly

Any idea where to find Wofford and UNC's BAA Lefty / Righty?

Would make for some good board banter.

Yeah. Only thing I was able to find was LSU's from the SEC's website. (.271 vs. Lefty / .289 vs. Righty, FWIW)

SoCon and ACC don't go into that much detail.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, and I'm not completely sold on it, but I think I may hold Jump and Holman. If we can get by game 1 with our #3/bullpen, we may not need to beat UNC with our #3/bullpen. I feel like UNC in Chapel Hill is a different thing than Oregon St at Alex Box last year.

It is and i get that opinion. Im usually team “win the regional” not game 1. But my personal opinion is this team is hot and feeling themselves, and that comes crashing down if we get down 4-5 runs in game 1 trying to piece it together. Whereas if we can pickup where we left off, and crush wofford, i think these young guys can get past the nerves threshold quicker. I could see with 3 freshmen and 1 sophomore in the lineup, nerves becoming a thing. Id rather have jump/holman on the mound to help neutralize that. We were all veterans last year, so i didnt think it factored in as much.

That's fair. I'll probably change my mind 10 times before Friday.
