One of the Annunaki was Inanna. When the Sumerians were supplanted by later Babylonians, Inanna became Ishtar. Ishtar became Astarte in Akkadian and then Asteroth in west Semitic like Ugaritic and finally Asherah in Canaanite like we see in the Bible. Asherah became the “Holy Spirit” that Christians worship today. There’s a book in the Old Testament about a Jewish woman becoming a Babylonian queen called “Esther” and in that book her cousin is “Mordechai”. Coincidence the Babylonian primary god was Marduk and his divine wife Ishtar? It’s all fascinating.
