Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm dumb, you're the smartest person in the room, and we're all absolutely enthralled by your intelligence. In fact, we all pray to God every night that our children will wind up being just half as intelligent as you are.
Now, with your need for a pissing contest out of the way, answer my question.

I honestly don't know how to answer a question like that.
If you understand anything about foreign policy strategy it seems so self-evident I don't know what to say.
Let me ask you a few questions and maybe we can get somewhere that way.
Does it not trouble you that you are siding with Marxists (the protestors in this country) against a democracy? Not only a democracy, but the only democracy in that region? Why wouldn't we support Israel on that basis alone?
Does it not trouble you that you are siding with a group that everyone acknowledges has a horrific record of human rights violations? That's who you confidently asserted earlier today on the other thread were obviously the good, cooperative guys in this conflict.
You might as well be one of those college students as invested as you are in this debate.
Why?
I understand their mindset. Can trace if all the way back to Frantz Fanon.
If you're telling me I'm wrong about yours, then explain it to me. Why?
For about a third of 1% of the federal budget, why wouldn't we support a democracy with whom we have a decent relationship in the middle of an important region in the world where we have NO. OTHER. ALLIES.
You tell me why that's not a bargain and maybe we can move the discussion along that way.
EDIT: I was way wrong. We don't send Israel anywhere near 1/3 of 1% of the Federal budget. It's more like 8% of 1%, or .0008 of the Federal Budget.
