In theory, but we all know that those numbers are cooked to an extreme degree. I suspect if we knew true unemployment rates, and more importantly employment, participation rates among able-bodied adults there would be a lot more public outcry.

That was part of the equation I question.
So the job participation rate is the number of people employed divided by the number of working age people (based on the census).
If you throw another 5-10 million in the numerator and the denominator does not change, your participation rate is the highest in years.....or is it?
