So seeing something like that doesnt at least give you pause? Part of my reason for even being so bothered by this is all the stupid permutations my brain went through as I was counting the change she poured out.

They were $2.90. She wanted two. She only had $2.25. So either she didnt know how much she had or she didnt realize the value of what she wanted. Like, frick man, you have to pretty heartless to not at least see that. Either way, she didnt know, so who is teaching her these things? That's what has me so upset about it.

“Poor people” live a better life than you do

Used to be the only thing they had to worry about was going to jail but the state doesn’t even put them in jail anymore

If we stopped feeling sorry for the poor, they'd be forced to make more appropriate decisions. The little girl might one day learn her mom is a pos and not one to emulate.
