What’s your CYA?
The SLAM process will kill it. Just keep it up until you pass an overnight chlorine loss test.

I'm not sure why, but I do not have a lot of confidence in the taylor test kits. It seems as though I have to put more drops into the samples than I should be. Maybe my kit has expired (3 years old)? I hear the test strips, albeit much easier and much quicker to use, are not accurate and yet when I use them (AquaChek 7) and keep everything in the "good" sections, my pool is crystal clear. So I wonder if they are more accurate than their reputation would lead me to believe? Is there a third testing option that is not only easy, but accurate?
