Important to note:

Florida has amended their NIL law and no longer prohibits Schools from Being directly involved in Students landing NIL deals.

The school can now direct a booster organization to get NIL deals for players (money just cannot come directly from the school itself)

I cannot find specific language or even mention if the amendment chances the part where NIL cannot tie a kid to any specific school.

This law did not go into effect until AFTER the Jaden Rashada incident.
Again, a lawyer would have to answer on how that shakes out legally.

Interesting. Just did some digging and they removed the languages about recruiting inducements as well. Bill text here: LINK

As you said, the legislation passed after the Rashada incident. I’m not sure how that affects things either.

I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express....

Wouldn't the entire contract become null and void if it wasn't legal per state law anyway at the time? Seems like the court would throw out this suit because the contract was illegal to begin with.

But I still want to get my popcorn out and enjoy the PR and recruiting black eye this will give Florida.
