Found this bad boy in my office yesterday morning. Just a Mud snake; but still. Not in the house!

I'm sure it isn't the first time a large long black thing has been in your office

I consistently have a few ribbon snakes in my back yard. I’m genuinely surprised they haven’t found their way inside the house yet.

I think my wife would become vastly less receptive to my saying that they are good to have around the day that happens

Man that’d actually pretty cool to have a Mud Snake find its way into your office/house. It’s usually some boring garter/water/rat/king snake that finds its way indoors.

I had a king snake come into the house. He was happily wandering around the living room, checking it out. The dog we had at the time gave no shits about the snake. I picked the snake up and hauled him to a safe place. He was very non-aggressive.

Get a call from the courthouse: "There's a copperhead in the basement, bring (my dog)."

I go get my dog, who is an outstanding slayer of water mocs and copperheads. Take to the basement and she does not seem to be as reactive as she would be if there was a copperhead.

She finds "the copperhead" - garter type snake. It was 1/4 of the size represented.

I was going to put it in one of the flowerbeds around the courthouse but they made me take it across the street to a ravine.

I cannot imagine an adult who cannot tell the difference between a copperhead and a garter snake.

I need a good king snake in my flower beds. Chipmunks are out of control. Hawks are doing the Lord’s work but can’t keep up.

I had a nest of garter snakes under my house last year. One came up the sewer was chilling in my tub when i went to take a shower. Scared the shite out of me because I got in without realizing it was in there. You know what I didn't do.

Kill it

Because it's harmless, Picked it up and went put it outside.
