Texas should annex Louisiana and develop Baton Rouge and Lafayette into better, bigger versions of themselves with real jobs, better education, and solid infrastructure. Texas would know how to properly use the Mississippi River to its advantage.

Then maybe we can turn our attention to New Orleans and develop it into a world class small city (or at least something that is less embarrassing). And we'll let Arkansas take Shreveport.

They can't have funroe though. Ruston-Funroe should be a combined metro area with major manufacturing, some tech jobs, improved higher ed centered around LaTech, and a better airport.

You know Louisiana can't do any of that itself.

If Texas is annexing anything it’s Oklahoma. Let Florida have Louisiana. The southern part at least.

Texas actually invaded and occupied Shreveport at one time and considering the amount of Cowboys fans I'm pretty sure it's actually already a part of Texas.
