Well, they're not going to release you from probation or parole while you still owe money so as a stand-alone it's a moot point.
Of course you are released from probation but you’d still owe back fees.

But since we refuse to completely remove violent predators from society, we are forced to deal with the reality of giving someone who might be prone to violence a right to own guns, and that, for me, is a bridge too far.
Wait, so you think a law would stop someone?

I think I see why so few true "Libertarians" get elected to public office.

If you cared about their protection then you wouldn’t want to play God and revoke their right to protect themselves and their family.

There’s a reason so many nonviolent amd victimless crimes were upgraded to felonies.
What easier way to unarm citizens.
Exactly. Bingo!! Everyone needs to be aware of just how easy it is to be labeled a felon. They are no longer the monsters of long ago but ordinary citizens..
There are already laws on the books for the whitecollar type felon to get their gun rights back through the ATF but Chucky Schumer quit funding it back in the late 90's.
One only has to read "Three Felonies A Day: How The Feds Target the Innocent" to completely understand you are exactly right.

Because most people don't really want freedom?

Most people have a hard time swallowing the fact that freedom and rights also have costs associated with them. Those costs are often blood and the blood is often innocent people. People are often quick to call for removal of rights to prevent bloodshed. A lot if not most people want to preserve their rights but want other's rights to be infringed because they see it is better for them.
For many decades members of both left and right have been fine infringing on the 2A. It is either an absolute or it isn't.

Yep, and it doesnt seem to work at all. We infringe on a lot of things for idiotic reasons.
But people will still push for it, because they're afraid of their own shadow.

Because most of the people who pretend to love freedom, prefer the large administrative state instead.
The war on drugs has been a failure too, but people still think its worth sinking billions into.

You’re a fricking clown.
I just saw your post in another thread claiming most of the UAW dues go to the Democrats. You don't think that's exactly where the majority of your ALPA or whatever pilot union dues you belong to goes to? And you call me a clown... LMAO

Always the ones who willingly give up their liberties for a false sense of security.
They prefer peaceful slavery over dangerous freedom.

Lots of things about guns have changed. I used to bring my shotgun to high school in my truck after going duck hunting in the morning in the 80’s. I’d be in prison now for that.
I started driving at 15 & graduated in 91 having brought a .22 under my driver’s seat to school for over 3 yrs. It’s the first thing my Daddy gave me when I started working & driving.

Nothing works better than a boycott. The 2nd Amendment specifically states the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Collectively, those who feel, see, and know that right is being infringed could send a powerful message by boycotting work and school.
It would not take long and it would be beautiful.
