Just curious- do any of the local cover bands play any Pot Liquor? I have some of their stuff downloaded and it seems like a natural part of a BR band set list.

I doubt any of the local cover bands have even heard of Potliqour. Cheer would be a good song to cover.

Gary Ratzlaff of Potliquor first played with The Basement Wall, an early Baton Rouge psych band, that were actually pretty good. They did some original songs and there is a CD released in the 80's of an old live show, where they do covers of 60's songs. Potliquor played at the Mar Y Sol festival in Puerto Rico back in '72 but I don't know if their performance ever made it to any bootlegs, but other performers had soundboard recording released. But back to your question, I am not aware of anyone that plays any of their stuff today, but while not one of the major acts of the day, they still had quite good fan support in the early 70's...
