Louisiana Republicans are socially conservative and fiscally liberal. It’s the worst of both worlds.

There’s a reason Louisiana is last in all the worst ways. At least it could be best in the best ways, but no, these idiots gotta mess that up too.

This fricking state can’t do anything right. Ever. I’m an idiot for having come back to this shite hole. I say this as someone that’s never eaten a “consumable” or even smoked weed…all of it should be legal though.

I am not convinced that's the answer any more. The names and faces may change, but every last motherfricker there gets on the lobby gravy train sooner or later. There's absolutely no way this is the will of the people. It's the will of Mockler, Buffalo Trace, and the Sheriff's Association.

Bunch of fricking hypocrite protestants who drink to no end when no one is watching but upholding their perceived morality by banning something that is less dangerous than alcohol.

From his law firm bio

quote:

As a legislator, Thomas has received acclaim for his common-sense approach to legislation, advocacy for pro-growth policies, and determination to tackle tough issues facing Louisiana using conservative solutions.

Also this

quote:

Thomas obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2013 and a Bachelors of Science cum laude from Texas Christian University in 2009, after serving as student body president

Republicans got their marching orders last year from their overlord Boysie. Hemp Victory in 2023

Another fun fact - Louisiana was the FIRST state in the entire country to regulate consumable hemp products in 2019. This legislation was very common sensical .... imposed age restrictions, label and testing requirements, etc. Other states have literally followed our lead in regulating (rather than banning) these products based on the law that we passed. And then these morons come along and scrap the program altogether lol. What a joke.

ETA: This is all starting to feel very Taliban-esque lol. At this rate they will impose hair bonnets and skirts to ankles before long. Nevermind the fact that yet another poll came out today proclaiming Louisiana dead last in almost every important category, such as crime, economy, infrastructure, etc.

The craziest thing is the disparity between the fear mongering portrayal by the POS politicians and reality:

Fear mongering Alcohol/Prescription MJ lobby lackeys:
Children buying and/or eating gummies and dying, people hooked on crack and meth because of tiny %THC, etc., just add the stupid shite they’ve claimed.

Reality:
Bunch of middle aged and older people hanging out, smiling and talking too much because they feel a slight buzz (like from a shot or a beer) and less pain.
The fricking Horror.

Yes, gummies, as well as shots, syrups, drinks, etc.

Yes, it furthers the monopoly that Good Day already has on THC in Louisiana, which allows them to jack up their crazy prices they charge you even more.
