Dude missed a tournament cheating on Caroline Wozniacki. He was banging a whore on a glass table and fell through it. Maybe just stay single Rors

Honestly kind of respect what Rory has been able to do in his last 2 events even more now knowing this has been going on in the background too

Damn, Rory has had a rough last 12 months off the course. Sad to hear that for him

Can’t decide how this should impact the betting market.

Good because he doesn’t have a wife to nag him

Or

Bad because now he has to answer a ton of questions and possible heckling

The hard part is behind him. It shouldn’t be an issue at this point

It depends. We have no idea what lead to this and all the issues to know whether the hard part is behind him. Filing is only the beginning for many, many divorcing couples

That has nothing to do with what I said. He simply filed. It doesn't say they have filed and settled their estate and custody issues with his daughter. You, nor anyone outside their circle, has any idea what lead to him filing or that they were even having trouble. Plenty of high profile marriages end up in years of litigation. Saying the hard part is over is pure speculation based on nothing really. Simply filing for divorce can be the easiest part of the divorce. A long-drawn out divorce litigation can be extremely taxing mentally.

It was pretty obvious what I was saying. He won his last two tournaments. I don’t think the filing of divorce is a sudden slur of the moment action that happened since his good form has been gained. If anything, it would appear the finalization of this process getting to the point of filing for divorce likely is somewhat of a trigger for the play improving

Also of note regarding betting

quote:

When Rory McIlroy announced his split from Caroline Wozniaki, he was on site at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

He won the event.

I mean, he closed last season with 7, 7, 9, 2, 7, 1, 6, 3, 4, 4 finishes. I'm not going to look at his performance in golf tournaments to try to analyze how his marital issues are going. Again, I think you're making a leap without any information to form an opinion.

Without any information? He won his last two golf tournaments. I feel that is solid information to use to formulate an opinion on where his head is at on the golf course

And then this year started with 66,25,21,21,19,3,22,33……

And then boom

1st, 1st

This is where you’re off. They’ve simply decided to end the marriage.

Figuring out their estate, custody of their child, etc could be a big distraction moving forward, but you’re correct that it shouldn’t be an issue for him this weekend & hasn’t been an issue for him the past two events

I know that's what you feel. What you don't know is where his head will be if his divorce turns contentious. Look, fwiw, I do this for a living. I can assure you that PLENTY of divorces that seem they should be amicable turn into nightmares for everyone. Without knowing anything more than he filed, you have no idea what will transpire on that end in the future and how Rory will handle it.

sure. I feel like the fact he won his last two golf tournaments gives betting confidence his mental state is good for golf.
