Pro-cat.

This kitten was abandoned on our place last fall. Is doing well as a barn cat. She's already presented us with lizards, mice, and birds. In the second photo she's hunting the neighbor's horse.

Many cats have the "I don't care how big you are, I'm hunting you," syndrome. That is hilarious.

The behavior between housecats and tigers at big cat sanctuaries are shockingly similar, which at least lets me know what I'm dealing with. An adult tiger or lion acts exactly the same as my house cat when the back is turned. Time to put the tail up, haunches up, and attack.

Dogs are great, but cats are more complicated. Dogs seem to get abused and mistreated more often, but keep hanging around. This makes at least one rescue my ex adopted a hysterical mental mess. Cats will just GTFO if given the chance.
