It is when you're a top 4-6 seed and you're dealing a valuable asset. I mean we all hate on BI but the odds are that this pick will not come close to the player he is.

We did this last year- when we were healthy we were the 1 seed. Lets live in reality they were basically an 8 seed that got swept. We are pretty far away from the cream of the crop in the west.

Moving yourself to the black hole of the middle is not what teams should do.

So you can eventually make your ceiling higher and reach the top rather stuck in the play in. Again you assume we’re not in the black hole of the middle already. What do you call being in the play-in 3 years in a row?

Yes. We should get at least another 1 and a swap in that deal.

Thats fair considering its not the strongest draft. The swap may be pushing it though.

Only due to historic injury luck that's bordering on a curse.

What will a draft pick in a very, very mid-draft do to change that?

Again, the odds are that this pick will not come close to the player BI is.

How does this increase the ceiling? That's the part you're stating without any backing.

When the injury gods favor us, we clearly are not.

Historically bad injury luck, bordering on a curse. The same issues this franchise has had since the CP3 era.

Duren ain't good.

The #5 pick isn't valuable.
