Guthrie’s in Auburn is the original chicken finger, fries and Texas toast place. The ones around Auburn are still fire, but the ones franchised out in other towns are very hit or miss, with most being a miss.

On the Guthrie's cups it says Fried since 65. The Original Guthrie's was in north Al. That's where the chicken finger and sauce were developed. The son went to Auburn in the early 80's so they opened a restaurant there. The place they bought for the restaurant was to small they eventually limited to menu to just chicken fingers fries and toast.
