That a baby does not exist at 8.5 months, and only a condition called "pregnancy" exists and that there is no "baby," until the pregnancy condition is completed? That's your enlightened angle?

Not a clever semantics game or an enlightened angle. At 8.5 months, if the pregnancy is terminated, a baby is born not killed. Birth terminates the pregnancy. This is done to protect the health and lives of both the mother and the baby.
