Agreed, I never charged for gear, aside from those that broke them or dropping them overboard. Tips I would fix if it was broken close, at next eye it was a replacement. Line and all that was covered by sponsors.

WTF. "Renting" gear for an extra charge on a charter is crazy. Just roll whatever you think it's worth into the cost and don't be weird.
