I think a few brief weeks will indicate only 1 person broke the law that day, and it's the law enforcement officer.

you absolutely can. And you can get shot and killed for doing somethign so stupid.
I can go sit in my front yard with all my guns, waiving (MY HAND DUMBASSES, WAIVING MY HAND) at everyone that drives by too. Nothing illegal about that at all, but you know what. i guarantee you people will call the cops and a cop will come by to see why i'm acting like a complete dumbass.
