Even if it was the wrong apartment, you can't open a door on a Cop with a gun in your hand. You just can't.
Why not? What law in the state of Florida makes holding a gun in your own home while not committing a crime illegal?

Looked like the hood. I'd bet most people are wary of opening the door and nothing prevents people with bad intentions from shouting "Sheriff!".
Can see why the guy had his gun as the cop stood to the side so he couldn't be seen through the peep hole.
Poor slob had his gun to protect himself opening the door to whoever was
out there and never threatened the cop with it at all. Gets blown away anyway.
frick that cop. Thinks he's Quick Draw McGraw or something.

It’s stupid what he did.
Why is that so hard to comprehend?
Who the frick answers their door in the middle of the day with a gun in hand after cops have banged on your door and announced themselves? This didn’t happen at 3 am.

Let me know how this works out for you if you should choose to do so, and report back with your findings if able.
