What he said was non-ICE policies are being forced down our throats. The whole idea behind those policies is to eventually hamper the ICE industry to the point where eventually all consumers have left to choose from are EVs. These policies range from things like banning large swaths of federal lands and waters from exploration/drilling (causing oil and gasoline prices to rise) to mandating ever-increasing CAFE standards to the point of eventually being unattainable for ICE vehicles.

He's too stupid and dishonest to admit that some of the same tactics used by this admin to push EV's are from the same playbook as gun-control loons. They aren't going to mandate EV purchase, but they will make owning an ICE vehicle as expensive and onerous as possible. Same vein as gun-control advocates say they don't want to ban civilian gun ownership but constantly agitate for policies that make being a gun owner more expensive, put FFL's out of business, and try to restrict classes of firearms that can be owned.
