Check a Camry/Accord/Civic. Can buy a 2024 for less than $30k. You can other vehicles for that price, but they ain't gonna roll for 15 years/300k trouble free miles.

It’s unlikely that those cars will either. In fact it’s probably better than 50% chance the Hondas have an A/C issue that’ll cost 1500 or more within 100k miles.

Bought a brand new civic in mid 2000s. Had nothing but issues. Ended up having at least two lawsuits filed because of the problems that Honda agreed to pay. Then later not long after it hit 100k miles, the block got a crack in it. All the maintenance was done regularly on it.
During that time Honda was criticized for their usual high quality sinking. Stayed away from them since then. Car before that was a Nissan SUV. Sure enough transmission went out at 130k miles. Engine ran strong long after.
Funny enough, my old man has a late 90s Chevy truck that’s has close to 400k miles on it. Never had any major engine issues.
