I have 4 weber grills, 3 22" and one Ranch. A Weber Kettle is one of the best cooking utensils you will ever buy. It will last a lifetime if you take care of it.
For smoking meat, I use the Ranch.
For the three 22", 1 is stock, 1 is set up with a rotisserie and one is set up with a Santa Maria attachment.
For everyday grilling, I use the one with the Santa Maria attachment 90% of the time. I love the ability to control the heat at the grate.

That's the cool thing about a kettle, all the attachments, kits, and conversions.

Kettles actually work pretty well as a smoker if you are willing to baby it every hour. Best turkey I ever did was on a 22" Kettle with a Smokenator 1000
