Would love to see that. Marr is great.

The Smiths had that unique upbeat sound… with the most depressing lyrics ever written.

IMO, Morrissey is a depressed, mysterious old man who loves Morrissey. He rarely does interviews and seems like he hates the world. I saw him in 2009 (Tour of the Tormentors) in Houston and to my surprise he delivered that night and played for close to 2 hours. SetList below... Not uncommon for Morrissey to show up 30 minutes late, or even walk off the stage if something (stage invader, band member, security) pisses him off. It's Morrissey's way or no way.

This Charming Man (Smiths song = SS)
Billy Budd
Black Cloud
How Soon Is Now? (SS)
Irish Blood, English Heart
When Last I Spoke to Carol
How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?
I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others (SS)
Something Is Squeezing My Skull
Seasick, Yet Still Docked
The Loop
The World Is Full of Crashing Bores
Death of a Disco Dancer (SS)
Best Friend on the Payroll
I Keep Mine Hidden (SS)
Sorry Doesn't Help
Ask (SS)
Let Me Kiss You
I'm OK by Myself

Encore:
First of the Gang to Die

Marr should put on a great show. Here is a recent SetList from 4/14/24 that I would definitely pay to go hear this set.

Sensory Street
Panic (SS)
Generate! Generate!
Spirit Power and Soul
New Town Velocity
This Charming Man (SS)
Somewhere
Walk Into the Sea
The Answer
Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want (SS)
Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before (SS)
Get the Message
Big Mouth Strikes Again (SS)
Hi Hello
How Soon Is Now? (SS)
Easy Money
Getting Away With It

Encore:
The Passenger (Iggy Pop cover)
You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby
There Is a Light That Never Goes Out (SS)

Yeah, but you know a lot of that was tongue-in-cheek, right?
"I wear black on the outside' Cause black is how I feel on the inside." It's a joke.

I'm thinking about seeing them in Houston. So many bands I've bought tickets for and more I want to see. It's draining my wallet, especially with the bullshite extra fees .

Saw Echo & the Bunnymen Friday night and Slowdive with Drab Majesty last night (might be my favorite show in years). Bought tickets to see Ride in December, want to see OMD, Real Estate, and Johnny Marr and James.
