And if there had been any DTs worth spending that kind of money on, BK would have.

A stud QB in the portal in understandable. There is only one QB that gets any significant playing time on a team in a given year.

It’s highly unlikely that a superstar at any other position that would be worthy of substantial money is in the portal. Not saying there can’t be some good players at other positions but it’s unlikely you are getting the “Joe Burrow” or “JD5” caliber defensive tackles in the portal.
