Mine passed away last Saturday. It's going to be a rough Mother's day.

Sorry man. Mine passed 2.5 years ago. She was my best friend outside of my wife and I couldn't have asked for a better mom. It was incredible how good of a mom she was to al of us despite a truly dreadful childhood and bad marriage. I miss her so much.

I got tired of hearing people say it gets better with time, but there is some truth to it. I'm a softy, and mistakenly carried some guilt from her passing, so I cried pretty often for quite a while. Not so much any more even though I think about her all the time. My 18 year old nephew passing has taken up my crying time. Hopefully with time it'll get better for you, but certain days are worse than others.

Today is my birthday, so I'll go back and read our text messages she sent me on my birthday (always sent at my actual birth time). They were always the sweetest messages. I will be crying later
