its super easy but you do need an impact driver with 5/8" socket, to remove the crankshaft bolt, there is no other way to remove it.
then you can lower the pulley, to change the belt before pushing it back in place to tighten it.
the deck needs to be completely disconnected and removed first in order for you to get to the drive belt, then before reinstalling the belt, make sure the 2 idler pulleys for it are not worn out, they usually are if they are more than 5 years old
youtube has videos to show you how to do it, not all mowers are the same, some require the rear end to be disconnected to get the new belt on.

this guy was an idiot, he took the body off, which does not need to be removed, it just adds a ton of extra work, but this video with the body removed does gives you a good chance to see how everything connects

removing the body makes it a hell of a lot easier to place the upper and lower belts on the VSP. its really not that hard to remove the body...almost as simple as removing the deck.
