been that way for 10 years now.

Unfortunately everyone hears the peaceful message of Yeshua (Jesus) and do not include any penalty for sin. Most of the modern Christians are a hedonistic version of what the actual first century believers were. They love those concerts and fun centers in their congregations, but fire and brimstone preaching, not so much. We have forsaken the fear of The Most High God.

I call it the homogenization of religion. There is big time, tax free money in religion business. If you want to attract the biggest congregations and with it those offering plate dollars, you strip away the parts that are uncomfortable and make it more palatable for everyone. For example, you can’t be preaching about the sin of homosexuality when you’re trying get the gay community into your pews.

I don’t believe God wants us to live in fear of him, but I do believe God is just and fair, which means when you do wrong you will be justly rewarded for it, the same as when you do good. God is mighty and will strike down the unrighteous, while also loving of all who fall under his grace. But he’s not weak and doesn’t condone wickedness which is one some modern churches seem to preach. It’s okay to sin, God doesn’t care, it’s better to be weak and never hurt anyone, etc. God will always love you, but part of love is disciplining those you love when they misbehave. Also God says that vengeance will be his, but that is to say when someone is doing the lords will and striking down those that oppose his will (Hamas and Al-queda come to mind) they carrying out the lords work.
