So just to confirm, we can only use hypotheticals that show crazy increases in value moving them out of new buyers price ranges and not hypotheticals that show that in actuality there are affordable alternatives if you zoom out on the map or don’t pick the absolute top neighborhoods in the area.
I was asked about my personal situation

But no hypotheticals and anecdotal stories aren’t important. What is important is what is the situation at large?

And the facts are the American wage is weaker compared to goods than previously before

There is a Greek proverb:

A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.

The Boomer’s took that quote to heart, chopped all the trees down, and then demanded to know why the younger generations are bitching.

“Just plant more trees!”

These threads are a waste of time because nobody knows the individual specifics of the people posting. I just see houses being bought before going on the market and new subdivisions going up all over the place…and young families in $60k vehicles. Apparently somebody has figured out how to succeed in this dreadful world.

This is like arguing with a person that is getting fatter and fatter but they “eat so healthy” and “exercise all the time” or “don’t drink much”. They don’t want to hear anything other than they’re just shite out of luck.
