You do have the right to say what you want. Racist frat boy did too. That doesn't mean you are free from consequences. No one is talking about imprisoning the kid. That would be the state restricting free speech. What is being talked about is him being kicked out of his frat, potentially school (though I'd guess that ain't happening at Ole Miss) and spending the rest of life struggling to get work because businesses will google his name and see that shite.

All of which is entirely reasonable. Any reputable organization would not want to be associated with some racist prick.

If you want to sacrifice your image in context to public perception, you are very much free to do so. That does not mean that you can say whatever you want without consequence, which I assume you understand or else you'd be dead from constant arse beatings and not posting on the poli board.
