Why do you battle then, C? For the hormonal buzz of an 'upvote', or as a personal and responsible civic duty in our Democratic Republic? We offer what we are able to give, according to the dictates of our conscience.
"All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good m...people, to stand by and do nothing". And many here are Christians and believe that we will "be judged by our words...", and our public testimony as such relates to "the Truth, the whole Trurth, and nothing but the Truth". I'm hoping for mercy in that respect.
You fire up the dialogue and get the juices flowing; I consider that a worthwhile offering. It's all about pushing the edge of the debate envelope. Don't let the personal negativity impact the ultimate good, lest you are sucked into a blackhole of cynicism. And Lucifer grins.

That’s a good question. I wouldn’t say I come here to battle, but more to discuss. I do enjoy reading thoughtful posts even if they don’t align with mine. NC_Tigah often provides thoughtful and thought-provoking commentary. A handful of other posters do, too.
You don’t come here just for cheap laughs.
