If he and they stood absolutely staunchly on hardcore “principle” and sat down with their arms crossed and bottom lip poked out and refused to talk unless everyone gave into their principles, well quite frankly the country would come to a grinding halt and the government would cease to function in any way whatsoever. And let’s stop for a moment and consider that concept of “principles”……whose principles are we talking about here? Johnson’s? Mine? Yours? 10 million other people’s own personally tailored principles?
Everyone seems to think that there’s one correct set of principles, and I think we can obviously say that everyone thinks that one correct set is their own. Their own singular set of principles, as opposed to 10 million other different sets of principles. At the end of the day Johnson’s job is to govern and provide for the common welfare of the people. And seeing as how he/they aren’t quite feasibly going to be able to settle on a single set of principles that satisfies us all, the next most rational and legitimate and logical thing he/they can do is make the best decisions he/they can that are ultimately the best for the most amount of people. We shouldn’t be surprised when as an obvious result of that reality that some or even many of those decisions might not exactly meet with our complete satisfaction.
**None of that’s directed at you or anyone else specifically, just very broad and overarching food for thought.

Its funny that people on here still believe there is a difference between Johnson and Jefferies. What left wing policies is Johnson holding back? What right wing policies is Johnson pressing forward with?

yeah that's all well and good, except that "the best decisions for the most amount of people" or whatever almost ALWAYS looks a whole hell of a lot like giving into the Left and getting nothing in return, and then calling it "compromise".
he's compromised, all right.
