They absolutely did play a part in the war-effort. They were responsible for pushing out anti-Germany propaganda in the U.S. Japan committed some of the worst war crimes imaginable, arguably worse than Germany. They never even got punished for it afterwards. All of the focus was put on Germany due to the heavy Jewish influence in the U.S.
The Japanese were ruthless savages. My grandpa proudly brought home 7 gold teeth from Guadalcanal. Can’t imagine what those boys saw.
What else could we have done to Japan? War crimes for Hirohito and execution.
We completely broke the god emperor
We broke their warrior spirt. For 80 years they just sat and trimmed bonzi trees.
Decimated….. decimated two cities

I understand what you’re saying. What’s the purpose of being cryptic when this is what you wanted to say the whole time.
So, do you believe God is done with his chosen people? Do you not think God still blesses those who help Israel? Christ is coming back to sit on the throne in Jerusalem.
I don’t think God broke what he said of his people in Jeremiah. Do you?

Yes. But i think the antichrist sits on the throne in the Holy Place prior to Jesus returning.

I'll chime in and say that according to Ephesians 2 all groups are united into one under Christ.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
I am not saying that God is done with Israel but whatever he does for them will be done by bringing them into the church through belief in Christ.

God is done with the Old Covenant. It has been fulfilled. His new covenant is with the Church He established. The Bible, as well as the early church fathers, make this point painfully clear. The Church, not some nation-state, is the Israel of God, as Paul explains in Galatians.
Do you really think Jesus is coming to sit on a throne at a specific geographic point on this planet?

I really thank you for taking the time to explain. That’s what we are here for. I’m talking about myself too.
I got frustrated because I didn’t think you were a believer and you were trying to catch me up.
So I apologize for coming from a defensive place.
Unless I read wrong, Christ is coming back to Jerusalem to sit on the throne in the new city of Jerusalem for 1000 years.

It depends on your view of the millennium reign of Christ. The view found in the Left Behind series is not the only view and it is the most recent view developed in Christendom. I consider views on the millennium to be an in-house debate among Christians. End times doctrine tends to be the fuzziest of all doctrines. Research the differences between Post-Mill, Amill and Pre-Mill and see which one you think most aligns with scripture. You can find some good opposing view books with people laying out each argument.

I sure appreciate that. My church hasn’t and every church I’ve ever been to doesn’t get into end time events.
For the end time I usually get everything from a preacher who is pre/pre
He’s VERY adamant and can sure make an argument with the scripture he quotes. He’s constantly saying to check every lesson you ever hear against scripture, but I have not.

And you should read the synoptic gospels where the old covenant is fulfilled and the new one is established through Christ.
Deuteronomy 7:
quote:
8but it is because the LORD loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,
Psalm 105
quote:
7He is the LORD our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
8He remembers his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,
9the covenant that he made with Abraham,
his sworn promise to Isaac,
10which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant
For all the nuts saying the old covenants are null and void because we have a new covenant, you are ignoring “for a thousand generations” and “everlasting”.

Likewise. I obviously came across as antagonistic, so I apologize. I didn't realize your questions were genuine. I'm sorry.

I don't know what your denomination is, but my church rejects that belief.
It's called Chiliasm, which was condemned at the Council of Nicea.

For someone who said this about Jesus:
quote:
Cause Jesus wasn’t a real flesh and blood person on earth. Paul’s story of the LORD Yahweh descending in a body of flesh to be sacrificed to be killed by the Rulers was in Heaven, not on earth. And the Jesus story of a man on earth wasn’t invented until the second century by Markion which Luke and Matthew copied. However, in the gospels it was the Romans that condemned Jesus and crucified him, not the Jews.
You lose any authority to make a statement like this:
quote:

It sure seems like our country was the strongest and most blessed in the world when we secured Israel for the Jewish people as was prophesied.
Actually it was the British not us that facilitated returning the Jews to thr old Otteman protectorate of Palastine. We assisted but the Jews won their own freedom.

Besides the fact the rest of the western world was a smoldering ruin or bankrupt after WWII.
Had nothing to do with giving the Jews a home.

I’m Baptist. Home preacher is Baptist. Preacher I listen to online is at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. It’s nondenominational. And that is where I have my beliefs regarding Christs reign.
What do you believe about the thousand year reign?

For .2% of the world’s population, they sure get massive coverage. How was it decided that they are so fricking special?
And before anyone says anything, frick Muslims too. Let ‘em fight.

You Christians hate it when I quote from your own holy book, and you hate facts as well.
You will absolutely HATE 1 Corinthians 2:8 and Ephesians 6:12.

What do you believe about the thousand year reign?
We're in it now. The number 1000 has symbolic significance here. It doesn't mean an actual 1000 years, but is intended to mean the Church's age, when Jesus reigns on earth in those who believe. The thousand years reign is the era between the first and second comings of Christ.
Christ's death on the cross and resurrection are what binded Satan to allow His Church to be planted and grow. Though this doesn't mean Satan is totally inactive, but he can't deceive nations by keeping the gospel from them.
The thousand year reign is concluded with the release of Satan and the final battle of history. Gog and Magog are nations hostile to God's people, gathered for one final assault on Jerusalem as the Church. God will send a consuming fire and throw Satan into the lake of fire along with the beast and antichrist. He will no longer be a threat.
How that all actually plays out is beyond me. It could happen in a second or in a million years in human time. But in God's time, it's imminent.
My church doesn't focus much on apocalyptic writing. While it's a good reminder to remain steadfast, vigilant, and to continue to strive to become more Christlike, there's a human tendency to be overly drawn into the sensationalism of end times writing. And that risks leading otherwise good Christians astray.
Ultimately, it's out of my control. I'll leave the details up to God and focus on the things I can control like my family's standing in the Church. But as for the 1000 year reign, I'll reiterate that we're in it now. It's the time between Christ's first and second comings.

Although this true, why did you describe the romans as gutless while the jews demanding He be killed have no such adjective?
There is no singular adjective I could have used to describe the Jews?
- The Jewish leaders were jealous and power hungry, knowing that Jesus was ruining their grift;
- Some Jews thought Jesus was going to be a military leader to overturn the Roman's and were trying to push his hand.
-Some Jews were misled by what they thought were their religious leaders.
-Some Jews had just arrived into Jerusalem, had not received the Good News and fell in with the crowd to call for His death.
Now, from the Bible, we know that both Pontius Pilate and Herod Antipas had the ability to release Jesus, saw no reason to crucify Him, and chose to allow Jesus to be crucified to avoid, what they thought, could be a Jewish uprising if he were not killed, thereby, gutless.
I was not protecting the Jews from criticism; however, their guilt is way more nuanced than that of the two who allegedly controlled Jesus' faith. Allegedly, because we all know it was God's plan, and it was going to happen, regardless.

You can join but it is extremely hard and if you left the church and became an apostate then that won't happen.
