Clinton bled off a lot of Blue Dogs but that may not have been intentional as much as the failures of Hillary et all going hard left now that they won.
Obama and Pelosi? THAT was intentionally turfing the non-fringe elements.

No, Clinton and David Bonior et al very intentionally 'purified' the party in Washington. It also had the effect of turning Republicans to the left because many of them were now former democrats.
