The best Southern accents in a movie hands down belong to Smokey & The Bandit.
Obviously Jerry Reed and Burt Reynolds didn’t have to act. They just spoke in their normal voices.
Jackie Gleason nailed his “accent” absolutely perfectly.
Mike Henry admittedly sounded a little more like one of them effeminate Ole Miss types than a Texas waddie.

Absolutely.
I also always get a kick out of Reese Witherspoon at the end of Sweet Home Alabama when she punches Candice Bergen and goes redneck girl. She flips that switch easily.
