Idk I was at LSU when that idiot tried to light the American flag on fire. He’s lucky the police were there to haul his arse to safety

As an actual conservative, I say he has every right to light any flag on fire.

I'm so god damned tired of you half in half out fricks.

The issue with the fellow on campus was that he was a thief if I remember correctly. He stole or vandalized a flag the night before.

He has every right to burn his own flag. He should have his hands cut off for stealing.

This is the let’s ignore it and it goes away response that we’ve tried the last 20 years and it hasn’t worked.

He was also doing it on public property. If he wanted to do it on his own property then go for it. But let’s be honest. The guy just wanted attention and online praise.

Here is how I view all of this current......nonsense.

You have a right to protest. You can scream, yell, chant, and throw whatever hissy fit your heart desires......until your "protest" begins to impede the way I (or anyone else) need to live my life. If you block travel on a road, if you block access to a building that is in use, if you create an environment of intimidation and begin to issue threats and act hostile, if you trespass or destroy anything, you are no longer a protester, you are a criminal. Being that you are a criminal and no longer a protester, and our elected officials are tasked with upholding law an order for law abiding citizens, your pow-wow should be dealt with accordingly.

Your right to protest ends when it begins to impede the day-to-day lives of law abiding citizens. Your "protest" is nothing more than a gathering of criminals.

ETA: And before any "what ifs" or "whataboutisms" are thrown out, I don't care what team you believe you are a part of or what cause you are championing, you don't have a right to inconvenience others. I've said the same thing about the a-hole French farmers who parked their tractors in the middle of public roadways and the Canadian truck drivers who made it impossible for people to go to work.
