12’000 foot long trains are unsafe with distributed power or not. When one breaks down and blocks public crossings for hours preventing emergency services from getting to someone in your family you’ll feel differently.

What does that have to do with the union man's argument that the long train caused the derailment?
I'll help you out; Nothing.

You don't think mayor Pete is a sharp guy?
Completely understand if you disagree with his politics but I don't think he's dumb or lazy

But it was fiery yet peaceful!

Got news for you.
The government has nothing to do with it.
Or are you one of the morons that thinks the government owns the tracks?

Yes.
You could have a fence post as secretary and it would make no difference.
What point are you trying to make?

That’s the point the graph illustrates. These things have waxed and waned since we’ve kept track.
ETA no pun intended.

The only thing the government has done that had a positive impact on train derailments was deregulation.
It's pretty obvious when that happened looking at the graph on the left.
If you need an actual date look up the Staggers Act.

Sidebar nobody likely cares about but I used to do work at height training for BNSF railroad in KC. The first time I went they told me hey we have to do our 15 minutes of stretching first. I'm 6' 180 lbs, trail runner in CO, pretty lean and the smallest guy there by a mile. Every one of these dudes looked like a yogi compared to me and frick, I do yoga
Apparently it reduced on job injuries by something like 30% though so that's good

Height training?
Had a normal distribution of heights when I was on the rails although the section/MOW guys were typically above average.

Not sure what this means. I was training guys in Competent Tower Climber/Rescuer to NATE standards. I'm a tower guy, not a train guy

Is he the same f*g that faked riding his bike to work?
Yeah, he’s lazy

So you were training BNSF signal department guys?
I was trying to figure out what you meant with height training or if it was a typo. Thought maybe you worked with the B&B (bridge and building) guys but S&C makes sense as well since they do the radio towers and such.
Your comment about all the guys being big didn't match up with my experience in train service. But like I said, the maintenance guys are generally on the larger side for the most part.

That bike pic was weird for sure
Dude still ran a 1/2 marathon in 2020 at a 7:46 pace which is pretty damn good

Honestly I wish I could answer this better. I'm not familiar with what I'm guessing is railroad speak
I was a trainer to the NATE standard for Comp Climber and Rescuer. Still am. I taught 10-15 classes for BNSF in KC. These would be guys working with cell antennas, microwave hops, bucket truck ops, etc. I'm just a moron that tries to teach guys how to go up and down tall structures and come back home safe every day
