But Lebron is going to put serious pressure on the FO

Do you still have the power to put pressure on the front office when you are 40 years old and can't get out of the first round?

They would be foolish to trade a pick 6 years away to try to win a championship with a 40 year old who isn't getting any better. The Lakers got 70+ games out of LeBron and AD this season and still had to play in the play-in, only to get crushed in the first round. Trading away all of your depth and future first round picks to hope that Trae is the answer would be foolish.

Honestly he might be He was pretty incredible this year and deserving of all-NBA team. Played 71 games as well. Kind of crazy to think about how good he is for his age.

Buss isn't rich like other owners, all her wealth is tied to the Lakers, and there are many financial reasons to want Lebron to retire a Laker.

So yes, I think he has a lot of power provided he truly would opt out if he didn't get what he wanted.
