I thought Trumps trial had legs. Why would he need the appeals courts to make a correction? Are you suggesting that a biased judge/jury pool might be at play here?

Well, no one is thinking that both men could be victims of a runaway justice system. But, that is possible.

No. A system of humans will make mistakes.
If "the system" was "biased" in the way you're framing, then he would have 0% shot of a fair and legitimate appellate review. If Harvey Weinstein got one, there's no reason to presume Trump won't. Hence, why this is good news for Trump.
