I was actually recently talking with a colleague about this. For these students at these elite colleges with massive price tags that Mommy and Daddy are fully paying, I just can't help but wonder what the parents are thinking.
A lot of these students likely went to private school too, so they paid all of this tuition in private school, followed by massive college bills, all for these students to throw it away so that they could get in the middle of the social media hoopla.
If I were in New Orleans, that student would be immediately at either Delgado or UNO, working at a restaurant, grocery store, rideshare company etc.. If they wanted to go anywhere else, either pay for it themselves or they can use Uber's program with Arizona State to go to school online without tuition (provided they meet the strenuous benchmarks).
